Client Council

The board of the General Practice Emergency Post attaches great importance to patient involvement and participation opportunities to improve the quality of care. The Healthcare Institutions Client Participation Act (WMCZ) fits in seamlessly with this and thus gives all institutions a legal basis for establishing a Client Council. That is why it was decided in 2022 to establish such a council for the Maastricht and Heuvelland General Practitioners Emergency Post

.

Goal

The Client Council aims to represent the common interests of clients. With the eyes of all residents of the region, we look at how the General Practice Emergency Post performs its tasks. After all, any resident can be a patient of the General Practice Emergency Post at any time. The Client Council has the legal authority to provide solicited and unsolicited advice to management on issues that are important to clients. Patient information, privacy protection and the complaints procedure are examples. The Board of the General Practitioners Emergency Post and the Client

Council hold regular meetings about this.

Tasks

The Client Council focuses on the general interest of patients who make use of the care offered under the responsibility of General Practitioners Emergency Post Maastricht and Heuvelland. The council has opportunities to contribute ideas and discussions on a wide range of topics. If you have suggestions for improving the quality of care and communication about it, you are cordially invited to contact the Client Council

.

Composition

The Client Council currently consists of five members. These members represent clients from the entire catchment area of the Maastricht and Heuvelland General Practitioners Emergency Post and have no substantive or
